Summer Message from the Principals
Dear Bonneville Family and Friends,
Our school year ended on June 4th. In so many ways it seems like we just welcomed everyone to a new year at Bonneville. Yet, when we take a look at the long list of accomplishments of this past school year, it has been a huge year of achievements. This summer message reflects our thanks to the entire school community for participation and contributions to a great 2007-2008!
At the end of the year awards ceremonies for grades 2-5 the following totals reflect the dedication and efforts of students to reach academic excellence by earning awards for the 4th quarter:
- 77 students earned Principal’s Honor Roll
- 104 students earned Honor Roll
- 273 students earned Citizenship
- 88 students earned Perfect Attendance
- 55 students also earned awards for top gains in SuccessMaker Reading and Math, Accelerated Reader and “On a Roll” awards for marked improvements!
Congratulations to all on staying the course to earn another “A”! Our Dream Team Staff provided the highest quality education for all students securing the following high percentages of student achievement on the 2008 FCAT. Provided below is an estimation of our grade point accumulation as final grades will not arrive until July. Way to Go Bulldogs!
88% meeting high standards in Reading
85% meeting high standards in Math
94% meeting high standards in Writing
66% meeting high standards in Science
86% making reading gains
90% making math gains
70% of the lowest 25 % making learning gains in reading
80% of the lowest 25% making learning gains in math
When we open our doors for the 2008-2009 school year, we will welcome new Dream Team staff members and approximately 35-45 students transferring from Castle Creek and East Lake due to rezoning requirements. We also look forward to welcoming you and your child back to BES and working together to help prepare your child for a brilliant future!
